SMART Labs are a series of Computer Science elective classes open to middle school students. Students may take this course multiple terms. This is a hands-on, lab-based class where students combine coding skills with the engineering process to engage in science-driven project work. Current projects include building SMART hydroponic gardens, home automation models, and self-driving car prototypes. Using micro:bits, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and sensor hardware, students learn innovative technologies and investigate the ethical and cultural aspects of robotics and artificial intelligence.
