In this course students have the opportunity to integrate the engineering design process and new product design process to design, create, and test a variety of prototypes. They will learn about the intricacies of developing a new product from conception to the end user. This course stresses the importance of background research, intellectual property, design requirements and constraints, 3-d modeling, prototyping and testing, budgeting, marketing, advertising, and communication in producing a useful and functioning prototype.
