Interested in a hands-on horse learning journey? Spend one day at a ranch in beautiful North Kohala for an engaging experience that blends knowledge, culture, and practical skills. The journey begins learning about horse anatomy, behavior, and safety. We then move into grooming and ground handling, building confidence and connection with the horse. We’ll spend the other day exploring the history of the paniolo, the Hawaiian cowboy/cowgirls right here in Waimea. Students will learn how paniolo traditions shaped local ranching, horsemanship, and island history. Get ready for a memorable introduction to horses and Hawaiian paniolo heritage in a fun and approachable way!
