Mrs. Zalopany joined the Parker School ‘ohana in 2025 with nearly 15 years experience with a strong focus on targeted interventions and individualized support for students in both special and general education settings. After earning a bachelor of arts degree in special education and elementary education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Mrs. Zalopany began her career as a preschool special education teacher in Decatur, TX. Returning to Hawai’i in 2016, she then worked with adults with disabilities. Mrs. Zalopany also served as a 5th-grade special education teacher at Waialae Public Charter School in Honolulu and as a 3rd-grade teacher and special education care coordinator at Waikoloa Elementary School. Originally from Hawai’i, Mrs. Zalopany briefly attended Parker School for a year during middle school. She enjoys horseback riding and spending time at the beach with her family. Mrs. Zalopany shares, “Your influence goes beyond grades; you’re shaping lifelong learners.”
