In 1976, a small group of dedicated Waimea community members founded Parker School with a dream: to create a place where students are known, valued, and nurtured. Like our Bull mascot, Parker’s spirit has always been strong, determined, and tenacious.

Through every challenge and triumph over the past five decades, our students, teachers, and families have carried forward the tenacity and aloha that define a Parker Bull. Now, we’re inviting you back to honor our roots, celebrate our future, and reconnect and reminisce with the people who made it possible—you.

With the recent opening of The SMART Center and a new preschool program on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to celebrate 50 years of learning, belonging, and aloha in the heart of Waimea.

50th Anniversary Weekend Details

You’re invited to campus for a weekend filled with reconnecting, reminiscing, aloha and plenty Parker pride.

Friday, September 4

  • Annual Fall BBQ | 5:00-7:00 p.m. (Parker alumni and family and Parker logowear encouraged)
    Kick off the weekend at our beloved Annual Fall BBQ! Enjoy being on campus, eating a local bbq meal together, and that unmistakable Parker spirit.

Saturday, September 5

  • Tours, Talkstory and Food Trucks | 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. (community welcome)
    See how our campus has grown and evolved since you were here last and also what hasn’t changed!
  • 50th Anniversary Lūʻau | 5:00-10:00 p.m. (community  event and aloha attire encouraged)
    A memorable evening of Hawaiian food, music, and community as we celebrate five decades of Parker School.

Sunday, September 6

  • Class Gatherings | TBD and Self-Planned (Parker alumni and family)
    Round out the weekend with time just for your class—brunch, beach, backyard potluck, or something uniquely “you.”

Bring your keiki, your partner, and your stories—we can’t wait to see you!
