Mrs. Feeney rejoined Parker School in 2018 and has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in early childhood bilingual education from City College of New York. Mrs. Feeney has worked with grade K-12 students in both public and private schools on Hawaii Island. She is a native Spanish speaker and her parents are originally from the Dominican Republic. She was born and raised in Manhattan, and moved to Waimea in 2006. In her free time, Mrs. Feeney enjoys going on adventures with her husband and children. She believes, “Every day offers us opportunities to create meaningful impact in our students’ lives. Aside from teaching our respective subjects, we’re teaching our students life lessons on perseverance, empathy, and enjoying the road ahead of us. School was always a safe place for me and I find providing a safe space that’s encouraging and respectful a priority.”
