Mrs. Doherty brings nearly 30 years of experience teaching math and science in upper/middle school and at a community college, including at Parker from 2006—2015 and as our middle school head from 2015-2019. Mrs. Doherty earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from California State University at Northridge and a master’s in education from Pepperdine University. Originally from New York, she was an NCAA swimmer in college and moved to the Big Island with her husband and two daughters in 2004.
