Mr. McKendry rejoined the Parker School ‘ohana in 2022 after serving as Parker’s business manager and treasurer from 2007-2010. Mr. McKendry brings with him more than 25 years of experience in independent schools, finance, accounting, and executive leadership. Previous positions include chief financial officer and head of school at Hawai’i Preparatory Academy and most recently as controller at W. M. Keck Observatory. Mr. McKendry also served as a licensed certified public accountant with David Ramos, CPAs and Associates in Waimea. Raised in Oregon, Mr. McKendry has a bachelor of arts in business administration with dual concentrations in management and finance from the University of Oregon, and a bachelor of arts in accounting from Baker College. His wife, Fiona, is from Waimea, and they relocated to Hawaii from the San Francisco Bay area in 2003 to raise their two children. In his free time, Mr. McKendry enjoys reading, home projects, and motorcycle riding with his son. He shares, “The K-12 years are a magical time in life. While the ‘destination’ of graduation day is important, it really is all about the journey. And, for me, about supporting our faculty and staff who engage with students each step of the way.”
