Mr. Caenpeel has spent over ten years working with students in grades K-8 in the San Francisco Unified School District. He holds a bachelor’s degree from The Hutchins School of Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University and earned a Masters of Education from San Francisco State University in Educational Leadership. For the last three years Mr. Caenepeel has served as a Middle School Math and Science teacher, and in 2021 had the privilege to take on the Middle School Coordinator role. Originally from California, he and his wife (a Parker alum from the Class of 2001) moved to Waimea in 2018 and have since celebrated the birth of their two daughters, Coco and Sabine. Mr. Caenpeel loves the outdoors and music. From backpacking to riding his motorcycle, he is always looking for adventure and is ready to pick up his ukulele or sing a song with friends. Mr. Canepeel believes, “The classroom is a sacred place where students should feel safe to express their thoughts and feelings. Good teaching is a combination of fostering student talents while challenging student minds.”
