With a diverse background in education, Ms. Lunchick joined the Parker School faculty in 2003. She lived and traveled extensively in Latin America for many years and taught Spanish for eight years in California, Connecticut and Hawai‘i. A graduate of the University of Colorado with a degree in anthropology and a minor in Spanish, Ms. Lunchick also attended the Universidad Pontificia Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic, where her studies focused on Latin American political systems. She was an environmental educator in the United States Peace Corps for two years in Panama and has taught Spanish to children in grades ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. “Fluency in Spanish is the primary educational goal,” says Ms. Lunchick, “but I also want to convey a sense of volunteerism and appreciation of cultural diversity in my classes.”
