Lee Jason Friend

Upper School Fashion and Design Teacher

Mr. Friend joined Parker School in 2024 after serving as guest costume designer for Parker Dramatiques’ Spring 2024 musical production of Beauty and the Beast. Mr. Friend holds a design degree from Sacramento Light Opera Academy, has served as president of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Wardrobe Union, and has designed, supervised, and contributed to over 200 professional theater productions. He is the proud recipient of numerous outstanding costume design awards, as well as an award from Senator Diane Feinstein. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Friend enjoys exploring new places and using his travels to inspire ideas for the art and costumes he creates. He shares, “I believe there is an opportunity for an education component in everything we do.”
