Mrs. Buscher joined Parker School in 2025 and holds both a master of arts in teaching (with a specialization in physical education and health) and a bachelor of arts in exercise science from Willamette University. Mrs. Buscher has served in various roles at local schools, including teaching physical education and health at Hawai’i Preparatory Academy, Waimea Country School, and at Parker School in 2020. Additionally, her experience spans traditional physical education instruction, sports conditioning, curriculum development, and coaching community teams including serving as administrator, parent communicator and recruiter for local HYSA soccer teams. Originally from Hawai’i Island, Mrs. Buscher enjoys spending time with family, meeting friends at the beach, and watching her kids play sports. She shares, “I believe that participating in physical education and sports is an important part of a child’s physical, social and emotional growth. My goal is for students to develop a lifelong love of physical activity by creating an environment where they feel safe to try new things, learn from their mistakes, and strive for their personal best, all while developing teamwork and sportsmanship skills that they can use in every area of their lives.”
