Advanced Placement (AP) Language and Composition is offered as an elective for students in grade 11. This course focuses on the study of rhetoric, persuasion, and analysis of texts. Students study thematic units like education reform, protest writing, nature writing, and others as means to develop an understanding of effective writing. Students take a national AP exam at the end of the year for which college credit can be earned with a passing grade.
