Parker School invites the community to “run with the bulls” at the 19th Annual George Heneghan Halloween Fun Run & Monster Mash Dash on Sunday, October 28 at our lower campus.

Participants will have a spooktacular time as they walk and run dressed up in their favorite Halloween costumes in and around the beautiful Waimea Community. This event is open to the public and consists of a 1K Keiki “mash dash” which starts at 7:30 a.m. for kids ages 11 and under, followed by a 5K Fun Run/Walk at 7:45 a.m.

This fun, healthy event was established in 1999 in memory of Hawaii architect George Heneghan, an accomplished athlete, teacher and Parker cross country and track coach from 1992 to 1998. “We are happy to provide our community with a fun, healthy activity in Waimea with the hope that our school’s athletic department can inspire others to stay active,” says Vedelli.

Entry fee is $30 for adults and $25 for kids 11 and under. Race day check-in opens at 6:45 a.m. at Parker’s Lower School Campus.

Online Registration is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome to register the day of the race at 6:45; however, there are no race packets available.

Awards will be given to those who win in each costume categories of 1. Funniest 2. Cutest 3. Best Monster 4. Best Sports 5. Most Creative 6. Best Duo/Group costume. All proceeds will support Parker’s athletic program.  For more information, email nvedelli@parkerschoolhawaii.org or call 808-885-7933 ext. 7106.
