Congratulations to our UNDEFEATED Boys Varsity Volleyball team for another WIN last night! GO BULLS!!

Art Night

Students at our recent “Art Night” (one of our most beloved traditions) enjoyed the time and freedom to be creative!

NEW COURT

Check out our newly resurfaced outdoor sport court on our upper and middle school campus! The best part? Our incredible students jumped in (without being asked) to help our maintenance team install it!

Way to go, Bulls!

A special shoutout to our co-ed varsity soccer team for an outstanding season! Your determination, resilience, and sportsmanship have set the bar high.

NITs Success

This past weekend we hosted over 150 students from eight high schools for our annual Neighbor Island Speech and Debate Tournament (NITs)! It was a successful weekend with four Parker debaters qualifying for the state tournament in April.

The holiday season got brighter with the incredible performances by our lower school students at our annual Winter Concert! Our youngest students spread joy and laughter through their heartwarming songs and dances. Their holiday spirit filled our historic theatre with magical moments that will be remembered forever!

Winter Performing Arts Showcase

Our upper and middle school students wowed the crowed during our recent Winter Performing Arts Showcase! Students performed, sang, and danced what they learned in their first semester performing arts classes.

Our upper school varsity and JV winter sports are in full swing! This season we have six sports competing in Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) including girls basketball, boys basketball, co-ed soccer, co-ed paddling, swimming, and for the first time in a long time (maybe ever?) wrestling!

Romeo and Juliet Together (and Alive) at Last

CONGRATS Dramatiques, our afterschool drama program, on a VERY successful run of Romeo and Juliet Together (and Alive) at Last! Sixty-five upper and middle school students performed this modern comedic adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy for our school’s annual fall play.

Justice League

Our upper school student organization known as “Justice League” hosted students from HPA for a community conversation about enhancing inclusion on our campuses. Students spent the morning in open dialogue about the importance of understanding and honoring the identities we each bring to campus, and then brainstormed steps to strengthen a sense of belonging for all students. This gathering was in conjunction with the state wide organization Shanti Alliance which “supports educators and students as they deepen their understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to enact social change within their school communities.”

BULLS WIN the first round of BIIF playoffs in three games against Honoka’a! Their incredible season continues. Congratulations and GO BULLS!

Iron Volunteers

We love IRONMAN! More than 40 Parker ‘ohana members volunteered at our school’s aid station to support the 2,000+ women competing in this year’s IRONMAN Championship race. Racers, you are an absolute inspiration!

Something SMART is happening!

We are moving dirt to build The SMART Center, a 21,000 sq ft multi-use facility, including a gym! And guess who is a part of the project?

Parker alum Cody Brown ’13 is the project manager for Goodfellow Bros. overseeing the site work. Cody shared with us, “I am truly honored to be leading this construction project for Goodfellow Bros. and my alma mater. If feels like coming full circle to the place that not only educated me but also played a fundamental role in shaping who I am.”

We couldn’t agree more. . . a chicken skin moment for us too!

Recently six upper school students competed in the Jack Howe Memorial Debate Tournament in Long Beach, CA. It was a meaningful experience for all as they learned about mainland style debate and faced fierce competition. This trip was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Julia A. Burke Foundation. Go Bulls!

1ST PLACE

Parker hosted a BIIF cross country race at Waiki’i Ranch this past Saturday for 15 Hawai’i Island high school teams. It was a beautiful morning, with over 150 runners participating in the event. A special congratulations to our boys varsity cross country team who took FIRST PLACE! Additionally, congratulations to our girls team who put in some solid times on a very tough course.
