Upper School Day

The Main Hall opens at 7:30 a.m. for students who wish to arrive prior to the start of school at 8:10. During this time, students may get breakfast from the snack shop, meet with teachers and tutors for academic help, attend club meetings, meet friends and get ready for their school day.

Six of their eight scheduled classes meet for 50 minutes each, Monday through Thursday, while all eight classes meet for 35 minutes each on Fridays. Advisory periods, study halls and “Family Meetings” are also included in the rotation.

Students who wish to participate in a Dramatiques production or Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) athletics will meet after school, from 3:15 p.m. until the activity is over, usually between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m., depending on the activity. The athletics and performing arts departments work together to allow students wishing to participate in both activities to do so.
