Steven H. Kalilikane joined Parker in 2015 as upper school girls volleyball coach. A government employee and a graduate of the University of Hawaii Community College, Coach Kalilikane has more than 30 years coaching experience. Coach Kilikane has coached high school girls and intermediate basketball and volleyball, parks and recreation, adult men and women league and the Junior Olympic teams from Big Island who traveled to Utah in 2008 and Atlanta in 2009. Coach Kilikane was named Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIFF) coach of the year in 2007. He brings with him two assistant coaches, KauWila Garmon and his son Shelton, both of whom have college experience in volleyball.
KaUwila “Wila” entered Parker in Fall 2016 with seven years experience coaching girl’s volleyball. As an athlete, she played one season at the University of Hawaii Hilo and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She then finished her college career at Vanguard University of Southern California. The 6-foot outside hitter was an honorable mentioned All-American, AVCA All-Region and All-conference during her college career. Wila has coached club 13’s, 15’s and 16’s (assistant), one season of high school and one season of college (volunteer) under Jamie Morrison, the current U.S Women’s National Team assistant coach. Wila plans to use her college playing experience and years of coaching various age groups to help develop the Parker School volleyball program. She specializes in hitting and setting technique and moved home to the Big Island in the winter of 2013 to be closer to her family and friends. Wila lives in Waimea with her husband, Puna, and their dog Pono.
